Hi, I would like to know if the device (MD802) has some form of thermal protection from shorts coming from the DLC. There is an ongoing issue with VAG vehicles where aftermarket radios short the K-line or port 7 to +12V. Would exposure of the diagnostic tool to such conditions damage the tool? and what is the maximum voltage thresh hold to the K-line driver and other data pins on the MD802?
